After being introduced to Stevie by Bill Wells and
meeting twice with him, we decided to go on a journey to a place
we had never been before with the idea of breath. It was a random
choice to discover if we could work together away from places we
knew. So, almost as strangers, we set out to Peebles on December
29th 2005, trying not to get lost with a camera and harmonica. For
me, it is a unique relationship between the artist and musician,
where our perceptions are shared. What is being presented here could
not happen without each of us responding to the events together…live.
Our collaboration CaaC (cool as a cucumber) was formed.
Nicola Atkinson . Does Fly
I met Nicola, we kind of clicked and over a period
of time produced some work that usually involved filming in freezing
temperatures. There were however pleasing accompanying social interactions,
for e.g. Nicola preparing lunch for me, unaware of my hatred for
cucumbers.
