Hanging Space was created over a period of 7 months. Atkinson.Davidson wonders 'what if I create every idea I think of and live with it' and the result is a recorded document of the artist's consciousness. The artist sets out to record each day through a visual diary of artwork (in mixed media: wood, paper, string, paint and every day objects). Every thought is represented in physical form. Some days Atkinson.Davidson makes just one piece; other days - many pieces. Every piece is hung from a string line and slowly fills the artists living space. The task is to see and live with these ideas and thoughts. The work was later seen in public as part of an exhibition entitled: 'Books.
