Hanna Tuulikki is a vocalist and musician in the group Nalle, who recently released their debut album By Chance Upon Waking. She has also sung with the group Scatter.
Central to her practice as an artist, is the exploration of music
and sound as ways to foster relationships between humans, their
environment and other species. She is particularly interested in
the possibility of entering into, and learning from, the aural aesthetic
of another species, or of a particular environment. The interaction
may take the form of musical improvisation, or modes of representation
through imitation and lyrical song. This approach leads both to
place-specific work and to the (re)presentation of such an aesthetic
in different contexts.
