Michael Wilson is an independent critic based in Brooklyn, New York. He has written on contemporary art for Artforum and artforum.com, Frieze, Art Monthly, Untitled, Modern Painters, The Wire, and Blueprint, and contributed to exhibition catalogues published by, among others, The Photographers Gallery, Lisson Gallery, Matthew Marks Gallery, Art In General, The MIT List Visual Arts Center and The Venice Biennale. He is also an artist, and an occasional curator.
