Pavel Acosta (Camaguey, Cuba, born in 1975) Graduated from Engraving
and Photography at the Professional School of Arts in Camaguey (1993).
He also holds a Painting degree from the Higher Institute of Arts
(2002).
Based in Havana for the last five years, he is a founder member
of ENEMA Collective: a thirteen artists collective that realizes
performances and other multi-media works.
Pavel has participated in numerous national and international group
exhibitions. Solo shows include “Autoreverse” (2001)
and “Private Zones, Common Places” (2002). In 2003 he
received a three-months residency at the School of Fine Arts of
Paris, and was also invited to participate in the Havana Biennial
of Art. In 2004 he was invited to participate in the Contemporary
Forum Kitchener´s International Exhibition, in Canada.
