Sophia Augusta Pankenier

Illustrator & Set Designer

Profile

Sophia Augusta works in between Stockholm, New York and Glasgow. Appreciating the social possibilities of working as an artist into her practice. Sophia has been working for Artlink Edinburgh running artist workshops with profoundly learning disabled adults for the last year and a half. Sophia is also founder of the artist's network ' plats,' which works to connect artists across disciplines and borders to create collaborative creative spaces.

During the last year Sophia was artist-in-residence, as one half of plats, and is still a contributor to the recently opened Hitherto shop in Glasgow's Merchant City

She is currently working on a R.A.D.A.R project with Nicola Atkinson Does Fly in Abbey View Dunfermline, Fife & freelance illustration projects with Vernacular Press among others.
